5. Cookies

Our website uses cookies only where they are technically necessary or where you have given your consent. Cookies that are not technically necessary (for example those set by Google Analytics) are placed only after you have consented via the cookie notice (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” in the footer of the website.

6. Web analytics

6.1 Simple Analytics

We use the privacy-friendly web analytics service Simple Analytics (Simple Analytics B.V., Netherlands). Simple Analytics uses no cookies, stores no IP addresses and builds no personal user profiles. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in measuring the reach of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6.2 Google Analytics

Where you have given your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. This may involve a transfer of data to the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google Analytics is not loaded without your consent. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

7. Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we process your email address in order to send you news, recipe ideas and offers. Signup uses the double opt-in procedure: after you submit your address, you will receive an email containing a confirmation link. We only add you to the mailing list once you have confirmed.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 7(2)(2) UWG). As proof of consent, we store the time of signup and of confirmation, together with the IP address used.

We use Brevo, a service of Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, to send the newsletter. Processing is carried out on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

After withdrawal we delete your email address from the mailing list. We retain the consent records in order to meet our accountability obligation (Art. 5(2) GDPR).
